If you like to watch videos on YouTube, you’re not alone. Over 30 million visitors watch almost 5 billion videos every day. Lily Pebbles has her own website and YouTube channel, making her a vlogger, or video blogger.
Ms. Pebbles (that’s her actual middle name!) started her blog while at Birmingham City University, in England. She was studying marketing, advertising, and public relations when one of her teachers encouraged her to try to create a blog.
“When it started it was mainly a lifestyle blog where I posted about everything and anything that popped into my head,” she says on her website, lilypebbles.co.uk. She also has her own YouTube subscription channel, with over 300,000 subscribers. She blogs about beauty products, offers style tips and videos, as well as reviews.
“I spend three days a week at home in my office writing, taking photos, filming, editing, researching, trying products, and doing [administration],” she told the Birmingham Mail newspaper. She posts seven days a week, including two videos a week, and goes to weekly meetings to learn about new products.
“Blogging is a lot more work than people realize!”
